Glen is a composer and sound designer from New Zealand, with a passion for creating interactive audio and telling stories through sound. He is currently working as a sound designer at Grinding Gear Games creating audio for Path of Exile 2. Glen is a multi-instrumentalist with a Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Guitar, Composition, and Orchestration, and an MA in Composing for Video Games.
Glen's love of games started at a young age, playing titles such as Hexen, Soul Reaver, Final Fantasy VII & VIII, and Silent Hill. He is also an avid fighting game player and part of the FGC, having placed highly in several Oceania-based tournaments for both the Tekken and Soul Calibur series. Glen brings this passion for gaming and knowledge of mechanics to his work in game audio, always striving to enhance the gameplay experience through immersive and informative audio.
He has composed scores for various film projects, including "Salween Stories - Mae Sam Laep” (2017) and "Mutt" (2021), an Australian independent feature film. In 2014, he released an album of his original compositions titled “Firefly,” which drew inspiration from the works of Bill Evans, Kenny Wheeler, and Maria Schneider. The album was arranged for an 18-piece jazz orchestra and successfully crowdfunded through Kickstarter.
Glen's experience as a guitarist has led him to perform in a wide variety of settings, including concerts with New Zealand-based groups such as the Symposium Jazz Orchestra, Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, and the world music quartet 'Mukhlisa'.
